Why do so many large corporations feel like cold, soulless machines? In this article, we examine organizations through the lens of system logic and discover an uncomfortable truth: many modern corporations function as parasitic super-organisms. Programmed with a source code of profit-seeking and control, they stifle the human scale and individual sovereignty. Learn how the 'Legacy Code' of the powers that be corrupts the flow of information (the Dashboard) and why the current steering by AI and multinationals necessitates a radical System Audit of our working world.
When we examine an organization through the lens of IVDAVRA and My Big TOE, we see a collective "computing entity." But while a human still has the potential to become sovereign, many organizations are programmed with a destructive intent. They are avatars for the "Powers That Be" (PTB), designed for extraction, not evolution.
An organization is the physical vehicle (buildings, IT systems, logistics) for a group of people. But unlike a human body, the organizational avatar has no conscience of its own. It simply executes the commands of the "User" at the top.
Culture is the subconscious of the organization. it is the collection of unwritten rules and traumas.
This is where the source code becomes corrupt. The true "Users" (shareholders and the PTB) often have a goal that is diametrically opposed to the well-being of the people within the organization:
The people steering these machines are often trapped in their own Legacy Code.
| Type of Organization | Intent (Source Code) | Empathy Level |
|---|---|---|
| SME (MKB) | Often focused on craftsmanship and local value. The owner is close, preserving the human scale. | Relatively High. The "User" still sees their staff as people. |
| Big Companies | Bureaucracy takes over. Focus shifts to market share and political games. | Medium to Low. Empathy becomes a marketing term (CSR) rather than a core value. |
| Multinationals | Purely algorithmic management. The goal is global dominance and monopoly. | Zero. Humans are replaceable parts in a global spreadsheet. |
An organization makes decisions based on reports. But because the culture is based on fear, no one dares to tell the truth.
An organization can only survive if it loses its "Institutional Form" and returns to its human core. This requires:
